About


A Student Research Symposium will be held at Silicon Institute of Technology, Bhubaneswar during 22nd-23rd December, 2017 in conjunction with the 16th International Conference on Information Technology (ICIT 2017). The Symposium is open to graduate and undergraduate students in the application areas of Information Technology such as: Computer Science, Electrical, Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering. This symposium will be organized in association with the ISTE Orissa Section, and CSI Division-II (Software). Further, the ISTE Student Chapter and the CSI Student Chapter of Silicon Institute of Technology, Bhubaneswar are also sponsors of this event.

Track-1:Communication Networks and Protocols (CNP):

Wireless Ad hoc/ Sensor Networks, Wireless and Mobile Communications, Emerging Information Technology Networks, Vehicular ad-hoc network, Optical Fiber/ Microwave communication, Peer-to-peer, overlay, and content distribution networks, Energy- and power-aware communication.

Track-2:Instrumentation Engineering and Applications (IEA):

Industrial Automation, Industrial Process Control, Instrumentation for Social Applications, Robotics, Biomedical Signal Processing, Biomedical Instrumentation, Agrionics, Computational Instrumentation, Optical Instrumentation, Nano Bio Photonics, Design of Digital Control Systems, Manoeuvring and Control of Surface and Underwater Vehicles, MEMS, Semiconductor Devices, VLSI Design.

Track-3:Electrical Power and Control (EPC):

Renewable Energy System, Power Electronics Applications, Control System, Smart Grid Technologies, Power system Automation in distribution system, DC grids as a future possibility.

Publication


Accepted papers will be published in a special issue of “The Science & Technology Magazine: Digital Digest”. Selected papers will be recommended for publication in Journals.

From the presented papers four papers will be selected for awards.

SUBMISSION GUIDELINES & FORMAT

Manuscripts offering original and unpublished research, case studies and implementations are solicited. The manuscripts need to be formatted as a double column conference format. The template of the paper can be downloaded from http://www.icit2017.net/student/template.doc [Download] . The maximum length of the manuscript needs to be of 4-pages. Manuscripts may be prepared using the following headers.

All submitted papers will undergo a thorough a review process. Authors need to submit a single word file (in doc format) at: https://easychair.org/conferences/?conf=icit2017sym. An accepted paper needs to be registered and presented in the form of a poster. The template of the poster will be intimated to the authors of the accepted papers.
